Some would say this is a religious blog; but it does not represent any of the organized religions. Neither does it represent any ‘New Age’ philosophy or mysterious secret sect announcing its presence with handshakes. It simply provides you with the evidence you need to make up your own mind about God’s existence, and teaches you HOW to read the Holy Scriptures — so you can properly engage with your priest or religious teacher.

You don’t need a credit card to read the Truth. You will never be asked for a contribution, never be encouraged to make a donation to some worthwhile charity, and never be commanded to swear an oath of allegiance.

You are right to be distrustful of all those whom do.

Encourage the Tarot card manufacturers to produce accurate decks that are not accompanied by blatant nonsense.

There is only one Truth, and the key to reading all true scripture (for non-Hebrew speakers) lies in having, for reference purposes, an accurate Tarot to hand.

So is there a purpose to Life? Some goal, which we can all look forward to achieving, which would make our eternal patience worthwhile? Is there a particular fact that we can cling to, which will pull us out of our depression and motivate us to continue the chase?

The fact is: yes. There is. (So what else would you expect of God?)

The proof lies in Revelation…

This will probably look a little daunting at first — especially if you have not absorbed all the teachings contained in this blog. But do not close that window just yet, simply accept, for now, that all the proof you seek lies in the numbers. For God uses numbers so that his words can be audited — in just the same way that row and column totals can be used to prove the equations in a spreadsheet.

By now you should have learned that the purpose of Life is to reunite Adam with Eve. But what happens when that reunion takes place?..

In effect, The Tree of Adam (Jachin, the Tree of Life) merges with the Tree of Eve (Boaz, the Tree of Knowledge). It is this merging that is shown in the diagram. Jachin lies in the outer wheel, Boaz on the inner — and each segment contains the two cards that share an identical branch.

What should be evident, when the two rings are merged (the duplications removed), is that what remains is the twelve constellations; but in a different arrangement.

We can extract that new ordering like this. You can get the idea behind the extraction process by noting that (reading the middle column downwards): Aries is paired with Cancer, and these are opposed by Capricorn and Libra.

What we have here is a central column that balances the other two. Why? Well look closely at the numbers. Can you see how they ‘add-up.’ This is not by chance. It is proof of God’s perfect engineering.

The central column totals 113; the left and right-hand columns (corresponding to the transformed Adam and Eve) each total 166. (They are also in perfect balance: each totaling 150 below and 16 above). Moreover, if we add the central total to either the left or right hand numbers, we arrive at 279. The sum of all three totals is 445.

So what do these numbers mean?..

The central column

We can transpose the number 113 into three Tarot cards, and read them in the fashion of Creating, Forming and Becoming.

Here we can see the Fool achieving wisdom through The High Priestess and becoming the Wheel of Fortune. In other words: the Fool achieves the Wisdom to become master of his destiny.

The two pillars

The two pillars (Adam and Eve) each share the number 16.

It is the achievement (creation) of Wisdom and the forming of Paradise.

Of the Chariot, the sixteenth path, the Sepher Yetzirah says this:-

The Sixteenth Path is the Triumphal or Eternal Intelligence, so called because it is the pleasure of the Glory, beyond which is no other Glory like to it, and it is called also the Paradise prepared for the Righteous.

The united Adam and Eve also share another number: 150.

It should need no explanation. It is the Fool being judged; but, like the number 16, there is no third card in the number. No Wheel in the equation. No becoming of what we know as a physical form.

Both numbers illustrate pure spirit.

A successful Judgement, and Paradise, frees the Soul-mates from the Wheel of Fortune, occupied by us other souls.

The totals of Adam and Eve

The total shared by both the Adam and Eve pillars is: 166.

Any doubt that we might have had in our previous interpretations is now dispelled; for what this number confirms is that, this time, when the Fool is in Limbo, only Paradise awaits.

A wise man once said that, in order to make any fool understand what you are saying: you have to tell them the same thing three times. “First, I tell them what I’m going to tell them; then, I tell them — and, then, I tell ‘em what I’ve told ‘em.”

You should not be surprised that God, in His Scriptures, Treats all of us as Fools. He Has Used that image three times in these numbers — and Has Also Told us, three times: “Yes, that’s right you idiot: P-A-R-A-D-I-S-E!”

You cannot expect it to be made any clearer!

Reunion of the Soul-mates prepares them for the Paradise that awaits them both.

Adam (or Eve) and the central column

Before the soul-mates can reunite, they have to overcome the resistance of the central column. And the only way this can be achieved is denoted by the number 279.

Mean anything to you?..

It is the ancient alchemist’s quest: the transmutation of lead into gold.

We are all provided with a magic wand: it is the human will. And we are all chained to the lead weight that is the Wheel of Fortune, formed from all our sins…

Our quest? To transmute the lead of sin into the gold of Strength (the Sun in Leo and the Seven of Cups, remember?).

The lesson here is that the battle between good and evil, in ourselves, will continue to blight us for as long as we are confronted with the Wheel. And, if we don’t take heed and develop the wisdom to find and reunite with our soulmate, we could both face its unending revolutions forever…

Totaling the totals

The total of all three pillars comes to 445: the number of the Soul.

The soul of woman returns her Husband to where he came from. She gives the Adam in her heart to her Soul-mate, and the two, again, become one.

There is no need to explain the metaphor?..

OK then: it is all about Love. The natural love that takes place between a man and a woman. Love, which makes them both forget their selves and become truly devoted to each other.

There! That is the third thing that you knew all along. And now you can understand that, like all good things, they really do come in threes.

Don’t stop looking! Save your love for your soul-mate and make yourself worthy of theirs!.

It really is that simple…

It is an unfortunate fact that the foolish adherents to ‘New Age Religions’ have tried to imbue the pentacle with imagined properties of good — whereas the complete reverse is true. The pentacle is, and always has been, a symbol of earthly strife. The misunderstanding probably arises from the fact that the Devil is depicted with an inverted pentagram above his head, which, when taken together with the erroneous teachings of the two main faiths, promotes the blasphemous propaganda that some kind of ‘force,’ for absolute evil, exists.

But Capricorn is not a ‘force’. It is an Air sign, and therefore provides balance. It is this aspect of the Devil that the inverted pentagram represents. It is the balancing of evil by Adam and Eve submitting to the four worlds, in order to atone for their sins.

In fact, The Devil represents the pool of all our karmas (from which the World is created and, which, in turn, produces the Fool).

The Devil himself (the original ‘snitch’) is depicted with an eye in the middle of his forehead (the very form that the letter Ayin had in ancient Hebrew). And he is also endowed with the torso of a man; the legs of an animal; the feet of a bird and the tail of a fish.

His raised right hand provides a warning to beware: that reincarnation encompasses all God’s Kingdom and that all created forms reflect the exact nature of the soul they contain.

There is absolutely no evil here. Just atonement. (Which some people could describe as evil if that is what they are themselves).

In simple terms: what goes around, comes around. There! that is something else that you always knew. You did not need to read that fact here.

Jacob and Esau

The tale of the birth of Jacob and Esau relates the division of mankind into two halves as depicted by the Hierophant and the Devil. It is the division of the world into those whom just seek the pleasures it offers, and those whom wish to bring order to the chaos that thereby ensues.

Genesis 25:23 “and the Lord said to her, ‘Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples will be separated from within you. One people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.’ 25:24 When the time came for Rebekah to give birth, there were twins in her womb. 25:25 The first came out reddish all over, like a hairy garment, so they named him Esau. 25:26 When his brother came out with his hand clutching Esau’s heel, they named him Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when they were born.”

In the Ten of Cups, Isaac and Rebekah are shown proclaiming their two sons, the first of two peoples, to the world.

The card, representing Order, is associated with the morning aspect of Jupiter in Cancer.

Directly opposed to the Ten of Cups is the Ten of Pentacles, representing Chaos and associated with the evening aspect of Jupiter in Capricorn.

The tale of Jacob and Esau is particularly important; because it is in it that we are first provided with a distinction between what God Terms Good, and what He Terms Bad. Simply put it is this: good souls serve God’s Order and Purpose; whereas bad souls simply serve themselves. The latter falls down the Tree Of Life, whilst the former follows its branches upwards.

The story contrasts the moderation and humility of Jacob with the vanity and greed of his brother Esau.

We should perhaps mention Darwin here and his Theory of Evolution, in which one form gives way to another so that only the fittest survive. It is, of course, absolute rubbish. The ‘evolution’ that is evident in any examination of physical forms is simply the proof that the soul moves up (and down) the Tree Of Life — leaving behind the evidence of its two way progress. The ‘missing links’ that Darwin and his followers have failed to establish simply don’t exist; because each ‘jump’ is no more than the turn of the Wheel as a particular form was discarded in favour of a more suitable representation of the evolving, or involuting, souls.

When a new species comes into existence, it does not do so in the form of a random mutation. It comes into being as the physical male and female forms of adam and eve. (How else can a new ‘species’ reproduce?). There is, in fact, only one ‘species’ — and that is Life itself…

The influences of Jupiter during the phases of the Moon, reading left to right, are: New Moon (Moderation); Last Quarter (Humility); First Quarter (Vanity) and Full Moon (Greed).

Isaac and Abimelech

The plot-line of Isaac and Abimelech, in Genesis 26, is provided by the course of the Sun.

This is the story of Isaac, leaving the land of famine and settling in Gerar, where he is blessed with fortune.

Genesis 26:12 “When Isaac planted in that land, he reaped in the same year a hundred times what he had sown, because the Lord blessed him.”

In the Seven of Cups, Isaac is depicted discovering his fortune.

The card, representing Wealth, is associated with the morning aspect of the Sun in Leo.

There is nothing wrong with wealth. Even a cursory examination of the Bible will reveal that God rewards his favourite souls in this way. But the Wealth that we are talking about here does not impoverish others.

Directly opposed to the Seven of Cups is the Seven of Pentacles, representing Poverty and associated with the evening aspect of the Sun in Aquarius.

The influences of the Sun during the phases of the Moon, reading left to right, are: New Moon (Purpose); Last Quarter (Good Fortune); First Quarter (Misfortune) and Full Moon (Indifference).

Joseph

The plot-line of the Joseph tale is provided by the course of Mercury.

This is the story in which the ‘dreaming’ Joseph is abandoned for dead by his brothers and, unbeknown to them, rises to the height of power in Egypt through his ability to interpret dreams.

In the Four of Cups, Joseph is depicted dreaming beneath the Tree of Knowledge.

The card, representing Wisdom, is associated with the morning aspect of Mercury in Virgo.

Directly opposed to the Four of Cups is the Four of Pentacles, representing Foolishness and associated with the evening aspect of Mercury in Pisces.

The influences of Mercury during the phases of the Moon, reading left to right, are: New Moon (Honesty); Last Quarter (Praise); First Quarter (Criticism) and Full Moon (Trickery).

Capricorn is opposed to Cancer; Aquarius is opposed to Leo and Pisces is opposed to Virgo.

The arrangement is shown in the diagram.

Summer is female whilst Winter is male.

Summer is associated with the Queen Court cards. Winter corresponds to the Knight (or Prince).

Capricorn

Winter begins with the Devil (the fourth of four Air elements) whom is shown perched upon a large lead weight to which the fallen Adam and Eve are chained. It is a symbol of atonement and has nothing whatsoever to do with the idea of an independent power of ultimate evil that is promoted by the Christian and Muslim faiths.

It has everything to do with the Satan one finds in the Bible.

Capricorn is associated with the number seventy and the Hebrew letter Ayin, which means ‘know.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Twenty-sixth Path is called the Renovating Intelligence, because the Holy God (blessed be He) renews by it, all the changing things which are renewed by the creation of the world.”

Ayin is the sixteenth character of the Hebrew alephbet and is the first letter of the word ‘strength’, which begins the sixteenth line of Proverbs 31:10.

P31:25 She is clothed with strength and honour and she can laugh at the time to come.

The Devil summarizes the evening of the fourth day of creation, when God placed lights in the sky to separate light from darkness.

Aquarius

Winter continues with the World (the fourth of four Water elements) which shows a vulnerable female figure at the mercy of the four Water Worlds — with only the combined will of the two wands she holds to save her. It is a symbol of Eve, once again separated from her Adam and condemned to another turn of the Wheel of Fortune.

Aquarius is associated with the number ninety and the Hebrew letter Tsade, which means ‘hunt.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Twenty-eighth Path is the Natural Intelligence, and is so called because through it is consummated and perfected the nature of every existent being under the orb of the Sun, in perfection.”

Tsade is the eighteenth character of the Hebrew alephbet and is the first letter of the word ‘watch’, which begins the eighteenth line of Proverbs 31:10.

P31:27 She watches over the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

The World summarizes the evening of the fifth day of creation, when God filled the water with sea creatures, and the sky with birds.

Pisces

Winter ends with the Fool (the fourth of four Fire elements). It is an image of Adam, setting out on his quest to find Eve, for whom he carries a white bridal rose in his left hand.

The key to the image lies in the white rose and the white dog…

Adam is unaware of the nature of his quest, just as he is unaware of the impending cliff face, for his soul-mate, barking at the danger befalling him, stands at his very feet.

Pisces is associated with the number one-hundred and the Hebrew letter Quph, which means ‘circle.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Twenty-ninth Path is the Corporeal Intelligence, so called because it forms every body which is, formed beneath the whole set of worlds and the increment of them.”

Quph is the nineteenth character of the Hebrew alephbet and is the first letter of the word ‘stand’, which begins the nineteenth line of Proverbs 31:10.

P31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also praises her.

The Fool summarizes the evening of the sixth day of creation, when God created humankind.

Cancer

Summer begins with the Hierophant (the third of four Air elements) whom is shown seated between two pillars clutching the symbol of his authority in his left hand.

It is an image of Solomon (Kings 1) and the pillars in the porch of the temple.

A hierarchical order is intentionally expressed in the image (the reason for which will become clear when we examine Summer’s relationship with Winter and the story of Jacob and Esau).

Cancer is associated with the number eight and the Hebrew letter Chet, which means ‘divide.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Eighteenth Path is called the House of Influence (by the greatness of whose abundance the influx of good things upon created beings is increased) and from the midst of the investigation the arcana and hidden senses are drawn forth, which dwell in its shade and which cling to it, from the cause of all causes.”

Chet is the eighth character of the Hebrew alephbet and is the first letter of the word ‘gird’, which begins the eighth line of Proverbs 31:10.

P31:17  She begins her work vigorously, and she strengthens her arms.

The Hierophant summarizes the morning of the fourth day of creation, when God placed lights in the sky to separate light from darkness.

Leo

Summer continues with Strength (the third of four Water elements) with an image of the infinite capacity of Eve’s will to overcome the lion.

Leo is associated with the number nine and the Hebrew letter Tet, which means ‘contain.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Nineteenth Path is the Intelligence of all the activities of the spiritual beings, and is so called because of the affluence diffused by it from the most high blessing and most exalted sublime glory.”

Tet is the ninth character of the Hebrew alephbet and is the first letter of the word ‘perceive’, which begins the ninth line of Proverbs 31:10.

P31:18 She knows that her merchandise is good, and her lamp does not go out in the night.

Strength summarizes the morning of the fifth day of creation, when God filled the water with sea creatures, and the sky with birds.

Virgo

Summer ends with the High Priestess (the third of four fire elements) sitting between the pillars of Jachin and Boaz with the Torah in her lap. It is Eve become imbued with the wisdom of Solomon.

Virgo is associated with the number ten and the Hebrew letter Yud, which means ‘worship.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Twentieth Path is the Intelligence of Will, and is so called because it is the means of preparation of all and each created being, and by this intelligence the existence of the Primordial Wisdom becomes known.”

Yud is the tenth character of the Hebrew alephbet and is the first letter of the word ‘power’, which begins the tenth line of Proverbs 31:10.

P31:19 Her hands take hold of the distaff, and her hands grasp the spindle.

The High Priestess summarizes the morning of the sixth day of creation, when God created humankind.

The fact is: yes.

The answer lies in the story of Noah and the emphasis it places on the two and the seven. These are not random numbers — and they do not specify two different types of ‘creature’. They both indicate the one: the reunited Soul of Gemini and Zain (the seventh letter of the Hebrew alephbet) as illustrated by the Lovers.

Those that waste the opportunity, which life provides us with, to reunite with their Soulmate, face another turn on the Wheel of Fortune. And, it should be noted that, whatever the fate, it is faced by both the Adam and the Eve of the original Soul.

This is the teaching that lays behind the Justice card and the Devil. Justice weighs both pillars of Jachin and Boaz in her balance; and the Devil chains Adam and Eve equally.

The fact is: Man is not born with the ability to distinguish between good and evil. He only learns how to from Woman, who has the innate ability to do so. (This is the teaching of the Two Trees of the Garden of Eden in the Genesis story).

Man’s fate lies in the hands of his soulmate; and, conversely, hers also lies in his…

Proving there is life after death

That life is eternal is the Truth revealed by the Hebrew alephbet’s finals, and is best illustrated using the Tarot…

There are twenty-seven characters in the alephbet. Not twenty-two. The additional five are the ‘final’ forms of Kaph (the Sun), Mem (the Emperor), Nun (Judgement), Pey (the Star) and Tsade (the World).

The complete Hebrew alephbet can be arranged in numerical order, in three rows, each of nine characters, such that the top row (Creation) numbers 1..9; the second row (Formation) numbers 10..90; and the third row (Becoming) numbers 100..900.

Each row then consists of three groups (Creation, Formation and Becoming) where each consist of three characters, each representing — you guessed it — Creation, Formation and Becoming.

Without the finals, the third (Becoming) row looks like this.

As can be seen, the first group of three summarizes the becoming of Eve from the foolish Adam. (This is where we all came in). And the second group contains just one card in the ‘creation’ slot: the Moon (symbol of the Female soul, just as the Sun signifies the Male’s).

Creation is complete. (All three rows in the first column of three are present).

Of Tav (the Moon) the Sepher Yetzirah says:-

The Thirty-second Path is the Administrative Intelligence, and it is so called because it directs and associates, in all their operations, the seven planets, even all of them in their own due courses.

The Universe may revolve around the Sun of Adam (as indicated by the position of Kaph in the Hebrew alephbet); but it is most certainly directed by Eve.

The proof we all seek

If we add the five finals to the third row, we form two more groups of three.

In the first of these, the Formation group (which is where we are now) we see the becoming of Adam formed from the Sun and the Moon. In essence, the re-combining of the two souls to, once again, form the completed Man.

Here, if it was needed, is the ultimate proof of Man’s real destiny. It is to be reunited with his Soulmate — the underlying message that is the outcome of Life’s struggle contained in the Ten of Wands.

What follows the Soul’s reunion is explained in the final three cards, in the final Becoming set.

The story they tell should require no explanation, except to say that there is a Final Judgement (The Saviour’s Death did not wipe away all sins) and that The Star has a two-fold spiritual meaning in addition to its everyday usage of ‘scatter.’ It can mean ‘Beauty’ or ‘Ugliness.’ You should also remember that Adam named all the creatures in Genesis — as well as the Woman, Eve.

Here Adam names his next form, provided from the Judgement of God.

If you thought that salvation can be assured simply by saying ‘sorry;’ then you are seriously misleading yourself (and other souls).

Revelation neatly points out the danger of living in a fantasy world, where mankind abandons his will in favour of the easy right-hand path that leads inexorably down the Tree of Life…

Rev 13:18 “This calls for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the beast’s number, for it is man’s number, and his number is 666.”

The Seed is given to the ravages of the Weather, which then becomes a soulless man.

In this day and age it is not difficult to find many suitable examples. But, fortunately, at death, they will all be confronted with the form that they have so painfully constructed for themselves in this life…

It’s a fact: God Is Just, and the objective of Life is to save one’s soulmate.

That objective is beautifully illustrated by the wood of the Ark (Tav-Beyt-Hey), which we previously translated in ‘everyday speak’ as: an illustration of the house containing the breath. (Or the house in which the Soul of Adam resides). In simple imagery: Death separates the searching husband, Adam, from the soul of Eve. It is a clear reminder of the Tree Of Life which shows Eve (the middle deck) contained in Adam — just as the Tree of Knowledge shows Adam contained in Eve.

What does all this mean?

If you haven’t got there yet: you really should have done!

Throughout all these pages; the weird astrological symbols; Hebrew letters and disambiguations of that ancient language; the charts; The Tarot; the Bible references and their explanations: the only thing you have discovered is that you knew the answer all along…

All these thousands of words have done, hopefully, is to prove it!

The purpose of Life is to find and save your Soulmate. Man or woman; boy or girl — we were all born with that Knowledge; but so many have turned away from what they know that the World, to them, seems purposeless and Godless.

It is not!

What did you think? That God only intended to save those that followed the (sometimes) horrendous translations of His Words? Where do the Scriptures say that only the literate will be saved?

You really don’t need all these trappings!

In your heart lays the soul of your true love. Turn inwards, and feel what it says to you when your everyday mind tells you that you’ve found an acceptable mate. (Don’t use logic to decide). Just know that, when you do find them: you will know. You will be under no illusion and have no doubt.

Until that time comes: keep looking and remain true to your heart — and do not waste your Love. (If you do, you will come to regret it; because your soulmate will become harder to find).

Put your wife or your husband first and always follow the left-hand path. (Meet each other in the middle of your Tree — where the sevens are).

If you follow the guidance in these pages you will find your soulmate. Find your soulmate and you will find God…

The Big One Guarantees It...

The Tarot’s Court cards are used to illustrate this fact by using the sequence: King, Queen, Knight and Page to denote descending powers.

Here we use the method to denote Spring, which illustrates that the King of Wands commands the Page of Swords and the Knight of Pentacles serves the Queen of Cups during that season. (The morning powers overcome evening forces here).

In Autumn the position is reversed. Here the King of Swords commands the Page of Wands and the Knight of Cups serves the Queen of Pentacles. (The evening forces prevail over the morning powers).

This is what a full day looks like. In this view the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Winter and Autumn) are to be read vertically.

Now it’s up to you…

Within these pages you will find all the information you need to construct The Tree Of Life and improve your personal circumstances by following its teachings. God doesn’t make things difficult for you: He lays down the rules for you to follow — and details the consequences if you do not. It is up to you to choose to play by the rules; or simply make-up your own.

Don’t just blindly accept what you find in these pages. Prove it for yourself. Take the time to learn and understand the Hebrew alephbet to give a new dimension to your Scripture studies. (And don’t just accept what a convenient translation has to say; because, the chances are, it is wrong).

It is not about belief; it is certainly not about blind faith. It is all about using your God-given intelligence to discover the Truth for yourself (without relying on others).

It’s a fact: Creation is perfect and a Just God does exist!

You know where to go from here…

There are two paths to each tree, referred to as left-hand or right-hand, and each containing seven nodes. (The left-hand path is outlined here in red). Each path can be divided into two portions, an upper and a lower, with each containing four nodes. The upper left-hand path travels from the uppermost node to the middle node of the right-hand pillar and is referred to as ‘downward.’ The ‘upward’ path is its mirror image, beginning with the lowest node.

The three pillars represent the three elements with life-giving Water on the left and self-consuming Fire on the right. The Air element, balancing the other two, is represented as the middle pillar.

The seven vertical lines each indicate a planetary messenger. The twelve diagonal lines each represent a constellation.

Minor trees

The tree represents the underlying structure of the Universe (the basis of the fractal equation that IS). Everything is replicated through this one definitive structure, so it should come as no surprise that the imbalanced suits of the Tarot’s Minor Arcana can also be studied in the form of minor trees.

As their name implies, they do not contain the balancing energies of the two Major Trees (which we will now refer to as Jachin and Boaz). That is because they cannot exist in isolation. In order for Spring to exist, there must be a corresponding Autumn. And no Summer can exist unless there is Winter too.

In this form the stability of the structure is provided by the middle pillar representing the energy of messenger planets in their neutral positions. That is: directly between the constellations shown on either side.

In Wands we have the energies (reading downwards) of Saturn, Mars and Venus dominating the Moon. And, reading down the left-hand and right-hand pillars, we can see the influence of the constellations. Aries, Taurus, Gemini and Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius.

We can perform a similar exercise with Swords, the opposing suit, to study its relationships.

Here we have the same planets, and the same constellations; but the Tree is inverted with the Moon dominating the other three planets.

In Wands there is an upward climb (indicated by the numbers) of the soul towards Life. But in Swords there is a fall towards Death — Death of the Soul.

Christianity and The Saviour

If ever there was a singular contribution to Mankind’s Foolishness that would cause the Devil’s chuckle to reach an uncontrollable guffaw, it is Christianity’s ludicrous pronouncement that, through the Saviour’s Death, all sins were forgiven. Not only that; but it compounds its unholy stupidity by announcing it can forgive anyone their sins — in Christ’s Name. (Satan really did help to organize that religion!).

Even a cursory examination of the Swords Tree will reveal that unless a sinner admits their guilt; faces the fear of God’s retribution and truly grieves: the only step open to them is Confinement — from which there is no choice. The next step is, inevitably, Death.

Just as there are two paths on the Major Tree, two paths exist in the World of Swords. The right-hand path is downward, while the left-hand path is upward.

The first step on the downward path is to sacrifice one’s soul. (The same step that Abram took when he decided to sacrifice his son). The next step is Ugliness, the realm of an inverted Venus where all Beauty has been abandoned. Our environment is changed for the worse and we are presented with two further choices: to turn back in fear or continue.

If we continue we will be met with Defeat. The aims we had will not materialize and we will be left with a feeling of Desolation. Again we will have a choice:-

1. Admit defeat but remain on the same pillar?
2. Retreat in fear, as we were offered before?
3. Accept our guilt and retrace the left hand (upward) path?
4. Continue blindly to our doom?

If we choose the fourth option there is no going back…

To its ultimate shame, Catholicism offers sinners the option of repentance with their dying breath. But, by then, all options have been exhausted. The Soul can only repent for the sins it has committed in this life, in this life (by grieving and making amends). It cannot do that if it is denied the opportunity (in Confinement) of doing so.

Providing hope to a dying soul is a laudable Christian action; but it is entirely misplaced. There is no forgiveness for the paedophile, rapist, murderer or suicide bomber whom have chosen the right-hand path and ignored all its warnings.

For those souls, only doom awaits.

The Tarot’s construction is identical to the stories of Genesis and the Sepher Yetzirah. Its Major Arcana (or Trumps) reflects the powers of Creation in the Sepher Yetzirah and Genesis, whilst its Minor Arcana (or Suit cards) illustrate the plot lines of the Genesis stories.

The Tarot Trumps are concerned with illustrating the evolution/involution of the Soul, whereas its Suits depict the four inter-connected worlds of manifestation. It is these worlds, which, acting together, form each of our individual physical environments.

Noah and the flood

In simple terms, the story of Noah is all about life and death — the battle between the Air of Aries, represented by the Hermit, and the Fire of Libra as depicted by the Justice card.

In the Ten of Wands, Noah is depicted as gathering the Gimmel-Pey-Resh (or cyprus wood) from which he has been instructed to construct the Hey-Taw-Bet-Hey (or ark).

It is significant that he collects ten branches because, as we shall see later, the ark in the Noah story is a metaphor for the Tree of Knowledge, which also has ten branches. (And the Tree of Knowledge is Eve’s Tree. Is it any wonder then that, here, Noah clasps her to his breast?).

The card, representing Life, is associated with the morning aspect of Saturn in Aries.

Directly opposed to the Ten of Wands is the Ten of Swords, representing Death and associated with the evening aspect of Saturn in Libra.

The remaining four cards in the above sequence can be said to illustrate the different influences of Saturn (the Tarot’s Death card) during each phase of the Moon (corresponding to the seventh day in Genesis and associated with the Soul of Woman).

The phases, reading left to right, are: New Moon (Liberty); Last Quarter (Virtue); First Quarter (Guilt) and Full Moon (Confinement).

The Ark and its Wood

To fully understand the Noah metaphor, it is necessary to get behind the Gimmel-Pey-Resh and Taw-Bet-Hey of the story.

Gimmel-Pey-Resh is illustrated here using the appropriate Tarot cards. The Wheel of Fortune, associated with Jupiter and the Hebrew letter Gimmel, meaning ‘gather; the Star, associated with Venus and the Hebrew letter Pey, meaning ‘scatter’ and the Magician, associated with Mercury and the Hebrew letter Resh, meaning ‘beginning.’

The resulting word’s meaning is quite clear: it is to scatter that which was gathered to form a new beginning. (That is somewhat different to the translator’s peculiar offering of ‘cyprus.’)

The story of Noah is a metaphor that scatters the wood that once formed the Tree of Knowledge. Gimmel-Pey-Resh informs the reader that the story is intentionally obscure; but that elements of what he seeks are contained within. This is borne out when the word Noah is introduced.

Genesis 7:1 “The Lord said to Noah,..”

Seen in its proper context, the phrase cannot be any clearer. Lamed-Nun-Chet, which can be paraphrased as “the teaching (of God’s Judgement) is secured in manifested division(s).” It is the chopping up of the Tree and its scattering throughout the Genesis stories…

So what about that Ark?

We can illustrate that here using the Tarot’s Moon card, associated with the Soul and the Hebrew letter Taw, meaning ‘sign;’ the Death card associated with Saturn and the Hebrew letter Bet, meaning ‘house’ — and the Hermit which we have met before.

One meaning is quite clear: an illustration of the house containing the breath. (Or the house in which the Soul of Adam resides).

That is what is meant by ‘Ark.’

It’s a fact: Noah was not instructed to build a boat: he was told to chop-up the Tree of Knowledge and illustrate how it could be reconstructed. (Those three numbers that describe the Ark’s dimensions, as we can see here, perfectly describe the completed Tree’s foundation letters in terms of height, width and depth. And we can also place a ‘door’ in the side of its bottom deck.)

Here the height is 300 cubits; not its length. This is the result of deciding to show the Tree ‘planted’ — rather than in its felled position. 

The story of Noah provides us with the first chance to begin reconstructing the Tree from the Genesis stories.

1 Kings 7:21 He set up the pillars on the porch in front of the main hall. He erected one pillar on the South side and called it Jakin; he erected the other pillar on the North side and called it Boaz.  

The Tower of Babel

Just as the story of Noah is all about the struggle between life and death, the short story of the Tower of Babel concerns the struggle of life’s seed to grow and succeed.

In the seven of Wands, Man is seen planting an orchard of Trees.

The card, representing Seed, is associated with the morning aspect of Mars in Taurus.

Directly opposed to the Seven of Wands is the Seven of Swords, representing Desolation and associated with the evening aspect of Mars in Scorpio.

The influences of Mars during the phases of the Moon, reading left to right, are: New Moon (Triumph); Last Quarter (Courage); First Quarter (Fear) and Full Moon (Defeat).

Genesis 11:9 That is why its name was called Babel (Beyt-Beyt-Lamed)  – because there the Lord confused the language (Shin-Pey-Taw) of the entire world, and from there the Lord scattered them across the face of the entire earth.

Babel is best translated as: the teaching of the house formed of a house. (The pluralization of the singular which is the potential of every seed).

The root Shin-Pey-Taw is found in the Bible one-hundred-and-seventy-six times. But it is only translated as ‘language’ seven times. The fifty-eight different variants range from: ‘lips,’ ‘river,’ ‘border,’ ‘coast,’ ‘speech,’ ‘words,’ ‘manner’ and ‘teaching’ through to ‘gods.’ Given this state of affairs, and the fact that this is not an isolated instance of the inaccuracy of the Scripture’s translation: maybe, in this case, God really did confuse language!

Well, the fact is: He Did. But not quite in the way described. The confusion, as can be seen in the Tarot row, has more to do with the ‘two’ of the Empress card being ‘scattered’ into ‘signs.’ Signs, which, when reconstructed, form two.

The reference is to The Tree of Life and The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Metaphors for Adam and Eve; Solomon’s two pillars (Jachin and Boaz) and the souls of Man and Woman.

These are the ‘two’ of the story of Noah, just as the Seed is the ‘seven’ and the ‘door’ is the willpower (represented by Mars and the Tower card) which leads into the Ark.

The Ark that can save our souls.

Abraham

The story of Abraham concerns the struggle between Beauty and Ugliness. That is:the struggle between manifesting a beautiful or ugly physical form to represent the Water aspect.

Beauty is signified by the Four of Wands, associated with the morning aspect of Venus in Gemini.

Its opposite, Ugliness, is represented by the Four of Swords, which is associated with the evening aspect of Venus in Sagittarius.

The influences of Venus during the phases of the Moon, reading left to right, are: New Moon (Deliverance); Last Quarter (Hope); First Quarter (Despair) and Full Moon (Sacrifice).

Abraham was the guy who kept misrepresenting his wife as his sister. Remember?

He also had his faith tested to the limit when God told him to sacrifice his son.

According to Genesis 12:4, Abram was the son of five years and seventy year, which makes it clear that the story contains information regarding both Trees. The Tree of Life (or Adam), begins with 5 (associated with Aries, the Hermit and the Hebrew letter Hey) whilst the Tree of Knowledge (or Eve) begins with the number 70 — associated with Capricorn, the Devil card and the Hebrew letter Ayin.

If there was any doubt about which character represented which Tree, further clarification is easily obtained by disambiguating the characters’ names.

Abram, for example, clearly indicates that this character is associated with the Tree of Life.

Saray, as this Tarot row of the character’s name shows, is closely associated with the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

As in all the stories, disambiguating place names (and tree names like Moreh) enables the student to contextualize the surrounding metaphoric allusions.

For example: allusions to the Tree Of Life are unambiguously indicated by introducing the oak-tree’s name as Moreh. (Genesis 12:6).

As the inset Tarot row indicates, there can be no confusion over which Tree is being represented.

Spring is indicated by the first three constellations. Autumn is signified by their opposites: the constellations of Libra (Aries); Scorpio (Taurus) and Sagittarius (Gemini).

Not only are the evening constellations physically opposite their counterparts, their natures are opposite too. Spring sees the beginning of life and the manifestation of the soul, whereas Autumn sees life’s death and the soul’s judgement during its temporary stay in limbo.

Spring corresponds to an intake of breath; Autumn its exhalation. Life grows in Spring; it contracts in the Autumn, and, just as the sun progresses in an anti-clockwise direction through the constellations, so too does life and the soul.

Spring is male and associated with the King court cards. Autumn is female and corresponds to the Page (or Princess) cards.

Libra

Autumn begins with Justice (the second of four Air elements) whom holds in her raised right hand the whirling sword, which God placed in the East of Eden to bar Adam’s access to the Tree of Life.

Genesis 3:23 “So the Lord God expelled him from the orchard in Eden to cultivate the ground from which he had been taken. 3:24 When he drove the man out, he placed on the eastern side of the orchard in Eden angelic sentries who used the flame of a whirling sword to guard the way to the tree of life.”

Libra is associated with the number thirty and the Hebrew letter Lamed, meaning ‘teach.’ In the form of a prefix it means ‘toward.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Twenty-second Path is the Faithful Intelligence, and is so called because by it spiritual virtues are increased, and all dwellers on earth are nearly under its shadow.”

Lamed is the twelfth character of the Hebrew alephbet and is the first letter of the word ‘not,’ which begins the twelfth line of Proverbs 31:10.

P31:21 “She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all of her household are clothed with scarlet.”

Justice summarizes the evening of the first day of creation, when God separated light from darkness.

Scorpio

Autumn continues with Judgement (the second of four Water elements) in which souls are depicted awaiting God’s Judgement.

Scorpio is associated with the number fifty and the Hebrew letter Nun, which means ‘secure.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Twenty-fourth Path is the Imaginative Intelligence, and it is so called because it gives a likeness to all the similitudes, which are created in like manner similar to its harmonious elegancies.”

Nun is the fourteenth letter of the Hebrew alephbet and is the first letter of the word ‘know,’ which begins the fourteenth line of Proverbs 31:10.

P31:23 “Her husband is well-known in the city gate when he sits with the elders of the land.”

Judgement summarizes the evening of the second day of creation, when the expanse separated water from water.

Sagittarius

Autumn ends with the Hanged Man (the second of four Fire elements) suspended in limbo while he contemplates and awaits the opportunity to serve any sentence that Judgement has passed upon him.

Sagittarius is associated with the number sixty and the Hebrew letter Samech, which means ‘hate.’

Sepher Yetzirah: “The Twenty-fifth Path is the Intelligence of Probation, or is Tentative, and is so called because it is the primary temptation, by which the Creator (blessed be He) trieth all righteous persons.”

Samech is the fifteenth letter of the Hebrew alephbet and the first letter of the word ‘sheet,’ which begins the first word of the fifteenth line in Proverbs 31:10.

P31:24 “She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.”

The Hanged Man summarizes the evening of the third day of creation, when land and vegetation first appeared bearing seed.

Temptation, translators and the ‘ark’

It is not good enough to translate a piece of scripture word-for-word. In order to translate any text: you first have to understand it. Only then, imperfectly, can you reproduce it in another language.

The story of Noah and the flood is a beautifully crafted metaphor, which, over the centuries, has been adulterated by translators (and others) whom have been tempted to impose their own physical interpretations on the story.

First of all there is the ‘ark.’ Does anyone know what an ark is?..

The term ‘the ark,’ Hey-Taw-Bet-Hey, is used twenty-two times in the Bible. But twenty-one of those are in the story of Noah and the flood. The only other time it is used is in Exodus, where it is translated as ‘basket.’

Exodus 2:5 “and she saw the basket among the reeds.”

But Hebrew has a perfectly good word for basket: Samech-Lamed, which is used in the Bible fifteen times. Whatever Pharaoh’s daughter saw amongst the reeds, most certainly, was not an ‘ark.’

So the ‘ark’ is a ship? Well, no, it is not. Hebrew has a perfectly good word for ship too: Aleph-Nun-Yud-Hey. Whatever the ark was: it was not a ship.

So what do we know of the ark?..

Genesis 6:14 Make for yourself an ark of Gimmel-Pey-Resh (the exact nature of the ‘wood’ is not known, although many translate it as ‘cypress’ for simple convenience). Make a nest of rooms in the ark, and cover it with Kaf-Pey-Resh (this time translated as ‘pitch’ for convenience) inside and out. 6:15 This is how you should make it: The ark is to be 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. 6:16 Make a roof for the ark and finish it to a cubit. Put a door in the side of the ark, and make lower, middle, and upper decks.

The fact is that the terms Gimmel-Pey-Resh and Kaph-Pey-Resh remain untranslated. They have simply been translated as words that ‘fit’ in the context of the remaining text.

There are numerous instances of this poor practice in the Bible’s Hebrew translations; but our religious teachers, to their shame, choose not to mention it.

What do you think those numbers mean?..

Here is a clue: three-hundred is the number associated with the Empress card, the element Fire and the letter Shin of the Hebrew alephbet. (And the Empress card is situated at the head of the right hand pillar).

You have met the ‘door’ before: it is the Tower card associated with the messenger planet Mars and the Hebrew letter Dalet.

What the ark actually is will become crystal clear — when you recognize the significance of the numbers…
